Kashgai

Kashgai rugs are produced in the Shiraz region of south Iran by nomadic and settled tribespeople of that name.

Typically Kashgai rugs follow a simple format of warm, deep colours, a semi-floral geometric design of one, two or three medallions flanked by equal size corner medallions. The background field is generally packed full of detail of flowers, animals and often stylised representations of people. Kashgai rugs have always been popular due to their warmth of colour and individuality of design and their durability making them long lasting in any part of the home.
