Afshar

The Afshar are a large tribal group of weavers in the eastern area of Iran. Formerly nomadic and well known for their fine rugs and trappings they are now mostly settled around the town of Sirjand. They produce rugs and small carpets in vibrant colours and semi-floral designs.
